Question by ali_christin: What happens with your insurance if you get into two accidents and get an additional ticket?
I got into two accidents, both were rear-endings. The first one there was a claim against my insurance. The second there was not much damage so there was not an insurance claim but I received a ticket for both accidents. Then I also received a ticket for running a red light. Damn the luck! What will happen to my insurance, will they drop me, will my premium sky rocket? I only have liability.

Question by Tony P: How would a car insurance company know if i had a claim on previous insurance policy?
As above, i claimed on my existing car insurance policy about 2 years a go now. When getting new quotes they ask if i’ve had any claims in the past 3 years (which i have). But just wondering how would my new insurance company know either way if i put ‘no claims’. Surely if they were all on one database they wouldnt be asking me in the first place?! Would they check for any reason? And what would happen if i was found out? Thanks.

They ask now, and check later. You could find yourself canceled for falsification. Once canceled, you may need to have High Risk insurance for 3 years.

Question by Max: What documents/insurance certificates are required to be able to have a cake stand at a country fair?
My girlfriend is wanting to put up a little cake stand at a country fair/market but she has never done it before and is unsure what documentation she would need. We know she would need a Food Hygiene Certificate but do not know what else. Would she also need some sort of insurance?? If you could please help and also let me know where se would need to go to get and documention and what type of insurance would be required I would be most grateful. Many thanks for any answers.

Nationwide insurance is discriminatory aganist pit bulls as they do not give quotes or cover homeowners for homeowners insurance if you have a pit bull. I hate bad owners that make it so hard for good owners and good pit bulls, it’s absurd!!!! Are there other insurance agencies that do this wrongful act too???

Considering that the insurance industry uses the government to force people to buy their product and frequently advertises on TV, it doesn’t seem like a very high percentage of premiums are paid out. Does the insurance industry pay out even half of its revenues in claims? A quarter? 10 percent?

As a small business, I’m finally getting around to looking at business insurance. God forbid I should get sued, but that would be the only reason I would get insurance at this point.

If I get sued (assuming I did nothing wrong that would terminate coverage), what are my responsibilities with regard to paying legal fees? What role will the insurance company play or what control will they have in the litigation process?

The insurance I have through my job (PHCS) has verbally stated that they will not cover ANY weight loss related procedures. My doctor is wanting me to do the lap band procedure so I would like to see about getting my own insurance that will cover the cost. Any suggestions?

As I understand it, the bill forces all Americans to have health insurance. However, I think that the fine for having no health insurance is around $ 750. But after the year 2014, health insurance companies will not be able to turn customers away for preexisting conditions. Why wouldnt someone pay the fine or buy low end coverage until they got ill and supplement the coverage or buy an extensive plan?
